Raise Awareness of our Patient Charter
Help us spread the word on social media and beyond.
For this year’s Allergy Awareness Week, we’re focusing on our Patient Charter call to improve the quality of allergy services at primary care level. We are calling for GP services to include a specialist allergy nurse and dietitian to improve patient outcomes.
Whether you’re interested as an individual or an organisation, we need your help to encourage as many people as possible to get involved and pledge their support to this Patient Charter call.
Below are some suggested social media posts for the week which you can use – or you can create your own. Please also keep an eye on our socials for more content to share. Follow us on Instagram, Facebook and Twitter.

Making a Video
Why not create a short video explaining why you have pledged your support to our Patient Charter? Your voice may encourage others to take action. Here are a few tips to help you:
- We recommend portrait videos for Instagram and Facebook reels, which should ideally be 1 minute or less. However, if you would like to produce a longer video to share your experiences, 2-3 minutes is okay.
- Share our key messaging:
- Allergy UK believes everyone living with allergic disease has the right to a quality standard of care, education and equality.
- Allergy UK is calling for each ICBs to have a fully funded specialist allergy nurse and one specialist dietitian as part of their GP services.
- Allergy UK’s Patient Charter outlines the ‘gold standard’ of care and represents the voices of the allergic community; people whose lives have been impacted by a disease with no cure and who live with the anxiety, stress and mental health burden associated with allergies.
- And don’t forget to share a link to our Patient Charter Pledge Page www.allergyuk.org/patientcharter and tag us in your videos. We would love to see them all.
