Safety statement on use of Almond Oil In Nivea Sun Protect and Care Products for Children

As a business, we are always listening to our customers and their feedback. While there was no known food allergenic potential, we understand the nervousness of consumers around the inclusion of almond oil in our NIVEA SUN Kids Protect & Care sunscreen products. We therefore took the decision to reformulate the Protect & Care Kids product at the end of 2023, removing almond oil (‘Prunus Amygdalus Dulcis Oil’).

Bottles of the new formula (without Almond oil) are subsequently now available in all retailers. There may however still be old stock in circulation so please refer to the back of the pack for more information. All new bottles will contain a label reading ‘Does not contain almond oil’. This is located at the top of the back of each bottle. You’ll also note the absence of the ingredient “Prunus Amygdalus Dulcis Oil” in the ingredients listing on pack.
