Taking place on 11 February 2023, the event has been developed to provide families with an opportunity to enjoy quality time together whilst taking part in engaging and entertaining online and real-life activities. All campers will receive a Seriously Fun box in the post containing resources to be used during the day, and there will be opportunities for participants and their families to interact in real time with other campers through secure message boards and video calls.
We did not know what to expect from CITC, but really enjoyed it all. My son’s face lit up when other children responded to his message on the board. I think, for him, this was the most important part of the day. He knew that there are other children out there who have food allergies, as we often reminded him of that, but until today, he hadn’t personally seen or spoken to any. He can now see that he is not alone. I hope that he will be able to continue to interact with others via the Camp365 platform. – Camper Parent
The Allergy UK Camp in the Cloud is designed to promote inclusion and increase campers’ confidence and self-esteem. Participants will be encouraged to share their experiences and take part in activities to develop coping strategies for feelings of isolation and anxiety that can be associated with allergic disease.
