Alex Davies-Jones is a Welsh Labour Party politician who has served as the Member of Parliament for Pontypridd in South Wales since the 2019 general election. Prior to her election, Alex worked in communications for a utility company. In Parliament, Alex is Labour’s Shadow Minister for Tech, Gambling and the Digital Economy and has been working closely on legislating around online safety – an issue incredibly close to her heart. She is also a passionate advocate on a range of other issues including domestic violence, sport, music and support for people in Wales. Outside of politics, Alex is a mother to a young son with a nut allergy, and is keen to do all that she can to highlight issues around allergy awareness.
